This year we’ll be selecting 12 graduates to join our Programme. Graduates who can show an outstanding blend of talents for customer service, teamwork, perseverance and problem solving, coupled with the ability to influence people at all levels of the business.
Our leadership team is wholly committed to making sure that each and every one of you succeeds to the best of your ability. With the help of our award-winning Learning & Development team we’ll design a training programme that suits your individual needs and requirements. You’ll be personally sponsored by a Retail Leader in your region and directly mentored by your Regional Manager. Initially you’ll work as a Trading Manager in a range of stores, from 14,000 square feet ‘supermarkets’ to 1,000-square feet convenience or forecourt operations. This will allow you to become a real hands-on retailer with skills developed in a variety of settings, able to make Somerfield better, simpler and faster. As soon as you can prove to us that you’re ready, you’ll progress to our Store Manager in training scheme and could find yourself responsible for your own store in as little as 12 months!
